This painting depicts the Equestrian Statue of Henry IV by Pont Neuf, Paris, France. A colorful landscape scene with the view of the Seine River in Paris, and at the distance the iconic buildings behind the bridge. The attractive perspective is what makes this painting so interesting and desirable with vibrant brush work and thick use of paint. The piece is done in a highly effortlessly manner and is a wonderful display of Sautin's Post-Impressionist style, with bold colors of burnt sienna, olive green, and white. This painting is signed by the artist lower left and it comes housed in a wonderful dark mahogany & gold tone wood frame with velvet liner and with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
Condition: The painting shows light wear from age and is in overall very good condition besides some minor imperfections in the frame, otherwise this piece is in excellent condition for the time period (please see the listing pictures for the details).
