A stunning jewel and pertinent example of Berthelsen's charming Still Life scenes. Here we find a white rose and two crimson flowers in a white vase set on top of a wooden glossy table. The artist was truly a master of capturing the effortless beauty of florals and create a dreamy and rich atmosphere. This painting is executed whimsically, yet dramatically evoking an emotion of wonder and beauty. This piece is signed lower left by the artist and it comes housed in a beautiful gilt-washed carved wood frame with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.
Condition: The painting is in excellent condition with very light wear from age and old water stains on the back with no signs of affecting the painting. It comes displayed in an original antique that shows some ordinary wear from age and minor imperfections.
