A whimsical oil painting depicting a Parisian Cafe scene in Paris, France by Luigi Cagliani. As an Italian Impressionist artist Cagliani most of his works were produced in the first half of the 20th Century, he was known for his charming compositions. He was settled in Lombardy, which helps explain his passion for lakeside scenes and he also favored painting scenes set of Venice. This piece is a wonderful display of figures walking in front of a cafe with a horse and carriage. The colors are soft and elegant as the shadows pick up specks of light throughout the piece. This painting is signed by the artist lower right and it comes housed in a beautiful ornate gold tone wood frame with hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed.

Condition: With ordinary wear from age, otherwise, this painting and its frame are in very good to excellent condition for the time period (please refer to the listing pictures for details).
