George Nemethy finds his inspiration in moments of quiet and solitude. Where he finds himself one with the sea and the sky and the tranquil world which he freely escapes to. Trained from an early age by his father Albert Nemethy, a world-renowned painter known best for his large scale steamer boats, George found and nurtured his passion for miniature sailboats early in his life. This passion translates beautifully into his sought after sails on the sea, where so many are captivated by the absolute tranquility of his pastoral waves and puffed clouds. George creates these fine jewels with a surreal motivation, aimed to breathe a uniqueness in every work by use of color combinations and highlights from the sun. We are enthralled by the finite details which surprises and delights, exploring these canvases with magnifying glasses, discovering just the utmost care into detail that truly has us all in awe. From the effortless shadows to the finest details of the tiny people that sail these magical boats, George has packed so much into such a small board, that will have you mesmerized and enjoying every inch instantly. It comes displayed in a beautiful oak antique style wood frame with hanging wire on verso and signed lower left.
